Canasta - The Card Game App Reviews

One of the worst games I have played. There are better Canasta apps. Dont waste your time or money on this one.

The developer needs to bone up on Hoyle about proper rules. Once a canasta is closed, it is a safe discard for your opponents. Computer players play badly, poor decision making re: closing canasta as a priority, use of wild cards, helping to build up the table when your partner picks a pack, instead of holding too many cards, etc. There are 2 point levels for going out, with or without a discard. A hidden canasta IS the meld, no matter what the value of the individual cards. Get with it, folks! This is a good game thats just being bastardized by somebodys idea of how it should be played. I like be canasta, but get frustrated with this version.

Good game. But If you play 4 players it is always very, very easy for the oponnents to open at 50, 90 or even 120. It takes only 2 to 3 turns to open.... all the time. Also very easy to grab the pack. Should be much difficult to open and to pick the pack. A Real game may last 45 min. to 1 your. Here it last Max 5 minutes to play a 5000 points.

Crashes w/o score, too many pop ups. Otherwise love it.

Have not been able to finish a single hand because pop up Ads come on screen and prevent further play.

Since the last update yesterday I can not finish a game. Shuts game down after add shows. If it does work properly today Im taking it away for good. Re installing didnt help.

I absolutely love and adore this game.. Both old and new versions which Ive had absolutely no problems with so thank you very much for making such a great game for those people who enjoy playing this game.

Love the app but often give up on it because of all the lengthy interruptions with ads, especially at the start of a game. Some of the ads even come up with a loud burst of music which is very annoying to me and those around me. Other ads come on after the game has started and then the whole game freezes. Consequently, I dont use this app as often as others.

Canasta game keeps cutting out after the fourth deal or so...very annoying....I dont want to restart game all the time when it dies this. Terrible terrible since I updated. Please fix!!!!!!

Great game! Im learning how to finally beat my Mom! Wish I could change it to 2 card draw (how I learned!) and being able to play against friends would be nice but otherwise GREAT app with little to no add interruption with the free version.

Forces you to play partners yet the partner uses strategy and does things a real player would never do. No strategy written into the app at all which makes it annoying and boring.

Whats happening to the application?? It keeps shutting off???

I enjoy the game. I wish the computer would add wildcards to make additional canasta rather than adding to cards that already are canastas.

I have played canasta for most of my adult life......60 years. I use this app often but get exasperated wih the poor playing moves of this app game. You have to improve the quality of the moves...the discards, etc. Also, recently I have played less because I find fhe excessive ads annoying.

I love this game but have stopped playing because it constantly crashes and loses games. My computer partner is dumb too. It cant figure out meld bidding. When are you going to fix these glitches?

Why does this game keep going off after you finish 3 or 4 hands. Wont play again. Very frustrating!!!

I used to love this app. However, lately it shuts down, particularly during a high scoring game. And they have gone from 1 or 2 5 second ads per game to an ad every hand, most lasting 15-30 seconds. We are looking for a new canasta.
